today was the last day of work and i was kind of sad :(
kinda wrapped things up, catherine and anthony got me a gift! so super cute :D
anthony also told me about the lego OLYMPIC edition exhibition in mongkok and showed me pictures, the bird's nest looks so good O_O
afterwards...
i left and went to find my dad on the fifth floor, he told me the staff at SAE china thought i was japanese.
i have never gotten that one before, i've gotten korean, but never japanese :/

we went to sha tin after that and waited for the stores to open. then we went to KFC :B teehee and then WENT SHOPPING
and checked out the olympic exhibit that i love so much
the birds nest they have is so cool, and the photo gallery shows the progress through 7 years
i have to say that the designer of the bird's nest is a flipping genius :/
as is the director of the opening ceremony, no wonder he's world famous
AND the designers are SO PRO, i like to admire the designs of the volunteers/officials' clothes
so pretty O_O, i especially like the blue and gold ones
they make me so jealous, i like to watch them flock into sha tin and fo tan during lunch
being so close to the olympics yet SO FAR is very painful.

jay chou is also a genius, just thought i'd throw that out there bcus V.I.Ps are making a fuss about jay chou copying BIG BANG mvs (for nanquanmama).

which is SUPER LOL to me, not like those videos are at all original, most westernized korean R&B videos are inspired by american hip hop artists. anyways, jay chou is much more famous
and is a flipping musical genius.
so much so that he has respect from people who don't like his music :/
btw, big bang's new mini album is SO GOOD O_O
but their oh my friend song is so not big bang'in. as in it doesn't sound like them :/
GD's hair is fug btw. and i think if his voice belonged to anyone else, it'd be so annoying.
but GD can pull anything off.

we went home and watched the olympics, then went to watch the mummy 3. it was okay, i'm very jealous of the girl who plays lin :/ she's sooo super pretty
the movie theatre is so flipping cool, the seats vibrate :O
aughh soo going to miss asia :((
her english is very good while the dude's chinese really sucks haha i saw an interview of the two of them a month or so ago, they have cute chemistry.
i packed my stuff and then
we took the bus to around...tsim sha tsui? and walked to the waterfront
visited the olympic piaza
which was SUPER cute hahaa
had dinner and watched the china v. US vball game
our waitor was sooo cute haha he looked like jay chou O_O
i saw so many good looking people in the past three days :/
unfortunately, this all ends tomorrow T_T

we took the ferry to IFC and thenn rode the MTR home

on the MTR back, there was this guy, he was like constipated or SOMETHING. anyways, he was like rubbing his butt on the pole and doing weird things O_O lolz SO HARD NOT TO LAUGH. half the car didn't even bother hiding it :/
then we ran into this drunk white guy hahaha he was hella lost and stuff. and smelled groddi :/

i watched this interview of yang wei and he is SO adorable, the athletes really know how to speak and they're so mature and poised on camera, i'm impressed.
anyways, he's very down to earth, and so sweet to his fiancee
who was also, btw, an amazing chinese gymnast and verryyy pretty :/
i dunno about athletes of other nations bcus i've only seen chinese channels hurr...

on the TVB channel, they always say
"wei zhong guo jia you, wei ying guo he chai" (that was soo a mando canto mix lol) in cantonese
and i always thought they were saying "HE CHA" so i was like wtf, why would they drink tea to england -_____- lol
anyways. it doesn't mean drink tea and i just suck at guessing cantonese :/

lol i just read the dumbest article ever about the three medalists in the woman's all around gymnastics
it talked about how yang was shy and immature compared to the americans and how her idea of fun was going to the gymnastics hall to play with her teammates, how this was strange compared to watching MTV and listening to music and thinking about boys.

it also never ceases to amaze me how people never realize just how different people in this world are

my dad told me today at dinner "you're definitely not american. not patriotic."
to be honest, i've never felt a sense of loyalty to america
only recently did i become an american citizen, which was not my choice
i think america is a great place, it has been my home for a little over ten years
not a bad place, although boring
the weather is nice, education is good, opportunities are amazing
but i was never raised in an american household, and i have never really identified myself as american
if america was the melting pot it is reputed to be, it'd be a little easier.
anyways, i think the only way to learn is to see the world
which i am very lucky to do
(facebook says i've only been to 7% of the world though)
i do hope that america sees better times and continues to be succesful
but also learns to accept success of other countries.
