mmm hello!

i haven't done anything this week. on tuesday, i spent the morning at simi's house doing secret ____ things lawl andd baking cupcakes :) we made chocolate cupcakes with vanilla cream cheese frosting, yumm :9 so good. i ate three in one day :X sighhh. after i departed from her house, i bought some necessities and went home. that is all!

and today....also didn't do anything. half expecting ____ to ask to hang out but also know that she/he won't bcus she/he never does. flaky=no :(

siiigh this summer has been too short.

going to college soon :X dislike.

tomorrow, though, is spirit west coast yaaaay i haven't gone in like three years :( david crowder band! matthew west! jeremy camp! kinda bummed about missing hawk nelson but oh well! sacrifices must be made. tres tres excited to be going again :))))

i desperately want to see 500 days of summer. and frolick on the beach. and watch a meteor shower (the drama AND the real thing :D), go to petroglyph, move away. kind of.

got to church semi-on time? ate ice cream and caught up with kathy :) made plans for spirit west coast. went to in n out for lunch! yom and saw CCIC SJ+naynay+alyssa thurr, pleasant surprise :)
afterward....returned to church and played around whilst the retreat band practiced and thenn went to amc 16 to watch the hangover! haha with church. talk about awk :P heh.

anyway, danyo was being really pessimistic or what he calls "realistic" about maintaining relationships during college and how loooong four years really are T_T DD: sighh.
anyway although the talk was kind of sad, it was, i suppose, a productive talk as well. sort of. :/

these past few days have been ridiculously looong and uneventful :( except last night! but yes.
i can't wait till...next week, which is technically tomorrow, but whatever.

hmm yesterday, jeff, pao, barrett, and i went to palace and ate meat. which was good. and then barrett drove us all the way to palo alto to drink the best milkshakes with the best whipped cream in the world at this creamery. and thenn we went to pao's house where we ate some pie (that he spent thirty dollars on at the creamery!!) and watched mall cop. congratulations pao for picking a TERRIBLE movie. anyway yes, that was 5 hours of fun and mayhem and korean bbq

i also finished harry potter book 6! i officially have no life!

anyway, i am hoping that i will have interesting things to do from now on and interesting people to see.

Tibet part 1!

hellooo readers. i am sitting here at 11PM and i am very lonely :( and i've decided to write a little bit about tibet so you'll know what to expect when you go! because i strongly recommend going once in your life :P preferably with a tour guide you understand completely :P

1. my friend and i stayed at the pullman, this really nice hotel in dongguan for a night after our trek across hong kong and entering chinese borders. this was quite difficult as we carry american and canadian passports but anyhow! we spent the day eating, sleeping, and catching up on facebook -_____- we awoke at the wonderful hour of 4AM the next day and showered (long story) and hurried to the airport to catch our flight.
2. we took a connecting flight to xining. there, we met one of our tourguides who took us to this...lake. which wasn't exactly spectacular considering it was very rainy the day we went and we were all really groggy and it took like 2.5 hours just to drive there and we only spent like half an hour there -___- lawl. then we hurried back and ate a 5-minute dinner to catch our 9PM 24 hour train to lhasa <3
3. we were lucky to leave the restaurant when we did because we encountered some difficulties when we got on the train. at the end, we managed to get all 6 of our travel group in one 6-bed cabin and it was a happy ending! or so my friend and i thought. this part was the most uncomfortable part of our journey -___- there wasn't much to see after 9PM so my friend and i climbed up to the very top bunk, being the youngest, and slept the night away. kind of. we woke up and the old people made us do productive things such as look at the scenery siighhh still 13 hours :(
4. we traveled through BEAUTIFUL scenery, lots of animals, and wonderful snow-capped mountains. we also passed through altitudes of 5,000 meters, intense right?? they have emergency oxygen supplies in case you pass out (someone in our group did but was saved by a laptop-wielding man!) and there is rumored to be an ice box to put the dead bodies O_O anyway. let me tell you the reasoning behind this train ride. this would be your wisest decision because if you were to take a plane, i would gurantee that you would pass out the minute you stepped off the plane as your body has not adjusted to the high altitudes. although the train was supplied a bit with oxygen, you could still definitely feel the effects :X
5. we finally arrived in lhasa at around 10 PM and met our tourguide WANG DAO lawl what a funny man. anyway, he gave us these white silk scarves, a traditional sign of respect, and we were on our way to the lhasa four points sheraton.
i love this hotel.
6. even this night, after two plane rides, a long road trip, and a 24 hour train where the toilet was a hole and no one bothered to undress for "bed," we were still not allowed to shower because of the danger it posed. wang dao said we could shower the next NIGHT sighhh and even then, we had to leave the door open to let steam out and stuff -___-
tibetans rarely shower anyhow (and no, they don't smell) but there are three important bathing events in their lives. at their birth, their marriage, and their death (in preparation for the sky burial, to be explained later.)

anyhow. that was day one/two of our wonderful journey through the mystic orient. lawl.

yesterday, simi came over and we dyed some tshirts. lawl and ate a massive pancake. and we also went to pick up my sisters from tennis and i showed her hugo who is like the cutest little japanese kid EVER :)

mmm besides that...i read the whole 7th book of harry potter today!

my life is boring.

i had a dream

a couple nights ago and it had to be the weirdest dream i have ever had O_O

anyway, i'm PRETTY sure it began with ana, simi, and i having to jump from this helicopter or something of that nature and we were plunged into the icy depths of a glacial ocean with the sole objective of swimming underwater until we found the shore. for some reason it never occurred to any of us that we should be swimming upward before we ran out of oxygen. but then this brilliant idea happened on ana and we just HAPPENED to swim through one solitary hole in the ice, the only hole for like, miles, or something. anyway, from there, we could see land/a beach (with sand and everything....lawl so tropical!) and we swam there and when we got closer and were randomly clinging onto a mini iceberg, simi whips out her phone and it says it's got "bear reception" on it which means both that there are bears on that piece of land and that she can call. and i took mine out and it says there is "monkey reception" and i got all excited bcus i was certain this was my motherland, australia.
but no, it gets weirder.
when we get close enough, there is this MASSIVE sign that says "WELCOME TO LOS ANGELES" with a smiling sun and we're like wott and we run into the guys (i specifically remember barrett asking where we'd been) and we were all there on some sort of seniortriplagunabeach kind of adventure.
then the scene shifts and i'm with mai and unknownmale? and we're in like chinatown. and we were really desperate for some pure aloe harvested from the aloe plant and we spied some on the top of someone's house and the houses were all very victorian. anyway, we snuck in and climbed all the way to the top and snipped off the leaves and began to come down. i remember waiting in anticipation for that moment we could run away in freedom with our aloe leaves but the owners of the house catch us and all we did was ask very calmly if we could have some aloe and they said yes. then we saw sabrina paseman and her brother sitting at the foot of the stairs. in my dream, i vaguely remembered that she was in hong kong and asked her how hong kong was except the weird thing was that she was like...a younger version and she just looked at me with this confused face (bcus she hadn't, in fact, gone to hong kong). then we finally escaped and we were on the streets and i was telling every street vendor our exciting story bcus mai magically happened to be in the iceberg adventure too.

i've just been freaking lazy since i got home from orientation and maybe i don't even plan on blogging about tibet! sighhh.

1. THIS WEEKEND WAS GREAT. or well, sunday. we spent it at alex he's house screwing around with old friends and indulging in quality girl gossip.
2. monday, we arose after a long night bright and early at noon and went to harker! hooray!
3. HARRY POTTER PREMIER on tuesday was flipping AWESOME bcus, well, we got to see it four hours early, and bcus i got to see seany megan naomi and barrett! well, mostly seany naomi and megan since i saw barrett the past two days. we ate at armadillo willy's sooo gooood :) i love that place.
hanway, it was fun walking out of the theatre a full hour before the suckers in line could even get into theres :) teehee
4. i didn't do anything all day! and then sean texted me about the miraculous tournament going down at saratoga high but to be honest i was way too lazy to drive the whole two miles. but then the guys came later to pick me up after their match and they sent the two guys who don't know where i live. so david got out of his car, convinced it was my house, and serenaded a large white man three houses down. it was excellent.
anyway, we watched napolean dynamite, it was terribly hilarious. terrible. and hilarious.

I GOT A NEW PHONE YAY :))
heeheehe I bought it on Mongkok (of course) for really really cheap and it's...beautiful!
Oh I got the Ice Cream LG btw :) The only thing I'm bummed about is that the unlocked version (basically any version outside of Korea) doesn't have an internal camera so I can't camwhore like Kim Tae Hee or anything T_T but she's got the Ice Cream 2 which is fuglier. Anyway, I've also been reading soompi and there have been some pretty negative reviews but I'm crossing my fingers bcus the phones bought in Mongkok are magical. :) /on steroids! Anyway, I'm hoping that since I didn't buy it in the U.S. or Canada or on Ebay, mine will be perfectly fine.

I want to go shopping today. Hm, my second day in Hong Kong....
Well, we first went to Mongkok and bought my phone and wandered around nu ren jie and various other places. Then we had lunch and I got all jetlagged so we just chilled at home -_-
Thenn...we watched a really good movie. AHAHAHA
Afterwards, my dad and I walked to the Harbor and had a really good dinner and wandered around the huge shopping complexes enjoying the frigid air conditioning. The sudden temperature changes from outside to inside CAN'T be good for you..

Hong Kong Day 1

The plane ride sucked :( 13 hours. I wish someone would just invent teleportation -__- that's not even a word in the blogger dictionary! ridiculous.
Anyway, I saw an inordinate number of people I knew on my plane -_-

BUT it's good to be back :D teehehefdk all I've done is eat though since I got here at 6 PM
and now I am awake at 5AM (2PM your time, the hottest time of day LAWL) and I'm hungry :( So I will eat Milo cereal. (WHY DON'T THEY MAKE THAT IN THE US).

Oh I briefly went cell phone shopping at the mall, like in the real stores and was kinda disappointed BUT they had the LG Ice Cream!! fadojf I WANT.
Hopefully I'll get to go to Mongkok before making a decision. And hopefully my mom gets me unlimited texting. And hopefully Won starts talking back on gmail -_-.

This week was pretty long/felt busy although in reality, I still didn't really do much :/

Monday
I went out with Simi to buy things that we didn't even end up using this week!! :( Mayhaps this coming week...

Tuesday
I watched Star Trek with Won, he was pleased about that hahaa
and etc.

Wednesday
Had lunch with Logiebear and Henry at Red Robins, which was really really good and took like two hours. Got to see Lynbrooks yearbook too! Really different from ours. But the biggest difference is that the opening and the closing are entirely incomprehensible.
I also went to the library and borrowed some books, I JUST finished Pretties by Scott Westerfield. It's the sequel to Uglies and what I HATE about these books is that they all end in a cliff hanger. So I'll have to go to the library tomorrow to get Specials. It's a sci-fi series, actually, and it's pretty interesting. Eyeopening social criticism on conformity, change, and superficiality. I definitely recommend it :)

Thursday
I hung out with Simi, we ate at the foodcourt and wandered around aimlessly. Kind of. I went to three graduations too, what a ridiculously tiring two hours O_O
My plan was go see Henry by 6:30PM at Prospect (they started at 6:00 PM and he's the tenth person to be called), go by Lynbrook and see at LEAST Logan (they started at 6:30 PM and he's the sixth person), drive super fast to Monta Vista and see Megan (they started at 6:00 PM and she's like, the last row or something!) and MAYBE see Cupertino (they started at 6:30 PM and Alice was in the second to last row). It was an AMAZING PLAN. Except Prospect ran late, so I went straight to MV and spent like half an hour looking for Megan. We almost missed her, but we did run into four different Harker kids/alum -__-. Then Cupertino :) made up to the Lynbrook kids at dinner haahahaha. We ate at Chevy's, the same place I ate at after MY grad :)
It felt kinda weird to be the only graduate who had graduated almost a month ago O_O
But talking about college was fun, the guys gave me a lot of advice on how to survive at USC :P

Friday
Baseball game! A's v. Giants. A's lost though, unfortunately :( It was quite disappointing. But it was still fun to sit in the box with the guys and co. :) (Drew's grandfather is Lew Wolff O_O, DREW AND THE OAKLAND A's ARE ON A FIRST NAME BASIS.) It wasn't even that cold and the ice cream hadn't run out by the seventh inning stretch so we all paid 8 dollars for some Ghiradelli's ice cream sundaes :9 Life is good.

We stayed in the room for a good twenty minutes to avoid traffic and took a very interesting elevator ride down....
It rained that night!
Hung around Seany's front yard for God knows why and then went downstairs and watched Superbad which was superbad. Well, not really, but it didn't have much of a point besides the whole "coming of age" thing -___-. That and I was the only "girl" in the room haahahaha awkward questions ftw.
Got home late.

Saturday
David's grad party! Was pretty fun, the food was good, the company was great. It was full of random things like the Ninja Game and karaokeing and having strange conversations by the hot tub. A fabulous bash for sure. :D
Then..late into the night...
Party at Doherty's of course. This time, we watched Officespace which was kind of ridiculous and I was apparently the only one who hasn't seen it yet. It wasn't THAT funny, but Milton was great.
Got home late again.

Sunday
Of course, woke up late for church :/ Service was good, but hard to concentrate. Sigh, that is no good. A lot of college kids came back, which was cool, got to talk to Kathy and Johnny.
Hmm...went to lunch at In n Out with Won and hung out all afternoon :)

And that is all.

I BOUGHT A MAC BTW, but before anyone gets excited, it's the oldschool white one. Not the new macbook pro. It came with a free iPod Touch, though. That already came.

Mon Amour

Oh hello readers!

I am still succeeding in doing absolutely nothing this summer :(

Friday (FOUR MONTHS):
I went to the Y with Simi and then we went to Tartini, I spent 6 dollars :( Then I went home and Anthony picked me up. We went to get his tux from Mens Wearhouse and it took like HALF AN HOUR. I honestly don't understand why it takes guys so long to put on tuxes -_- Anyway, then we went to Mai's house to battle her dog, Foxy Grandfather. Afterwards, we ate a bunch of crap and watched fob videos on Youtube for like...2 hours. The end!

Saturday:
I woke up shoooper late -___- and went to the park with the bf :)
Yes, that is all.

Sunday:
I woke up at 10:15 AM for church -___- The sermon was for the graduates, mostly. And then they bid us farewell :( So sad. Sigh, I will be leaving a church I've attended since the second grade :/ that's 10 years!!
Afterwards, some of us went to Chipotle to eat lunch. Many unmentionable things occured there. Then they decided to follow me home where James needed to urinate in my bathroom.
I washed my car yesterday! Yes for something productive!
One of the things 4Hoc gave us was a Starbucks gift card and a note that read "Help for your first all-nighter."

So I've decided that this is the one summer not to get a job because it should be the most carefree summer possible so definitely holding off on getting a job.

June:
1. Go to the GYM (that is in progress, thank you very much DOUBTERS lawl)
2. Go to at least one game of the A's v. Giants series before leaving for the motherland
3. Finish up those grad parties :D
4. See all the summer movies that are coming out
5. THEN the rest of the month will be spent in HK/Tibet :D

July:
1. Come back just in time for JULY 4th with Wei Wei (hopefully :))
2. Orientation down in L.A. 6-7
3. Attempt to continue to work out in anticipation for FRESHMAN 15 :(
